4 ways to make oatmeal using four ingredients

Oatmeal is undeniably the queen of healthy breakfast all around the world as it is high in fiber and healthy carbs which helps you remain full longer and gives you the energy needed to start your day right.

However, when poorly prepared, it can be quite distasteful and unappealing. People have then resulted to adding salt or sugar into their oats in a bid to make it palatable. Luckily, you can prepare your oats without any unhealthy additives to create yummy oats that you shall be look forward to each morning.

I am going to show you my four favorite ways to make healthy tasty oats using only 4 major ingredients. Oatmeal, milk, cinnamon and banana.

 

1. The Classic Oatmeal bowl.

~This is my absolute favorite to make.

Ingredients: Oatmeal, milk, Banana, cinnamon.

Total time: 12 minutes

How to:

-Add in oatmeal and cinnamon into a bowl

-Cut the banana into the bowl.

– Warm some milk and pour it in your bowl.

-Give it about 8-10 minutes for the oats to absorb the milk.

-Eat!

 

2. Overnight oats

~This is easily the easiest to prepare. It allows you to add in more variety of fruits.

Ingredients: Oats, milk, banana, cinnamon, grapes

Prep time: 5 minutes

How to:

-In a container, add in all ingredients but bananas.

-Leave the mixture in the refrigerator overnight.

– Add in bananas in the morning

-Eat!

 

3. Oatmeal smoothie

~Ingredients: Oatmeal, milk, 1 tsp peanut butter, banana, cinnamon and ice cubes (optional).

Prep time: 5 minutes

How to:

-Add all ingredients into the blender

-Blend and serve

Tip: Always add in more milk once done with blending the oatmeal shall absorb all the milk as it shall be very thick and strenuous to drink if you don’t.

 

4.Oatmeal Pancakes

~I love making this with sour milk because it makes such a difference in how it tastes.

Ingredients: Oatmeal, sour milk, cinnamon, banana(optional), 2 egg whites, baking powder and protein powder/ honey. PS: I use the protein powder in place of sugar you can add in honey too.

Total time: 30 mins – 1 hour.

How to:

– Blend all the ingredients together.

-Heat up your nonstick pan (low- medium heat)

-Sparingly put in oil into the pan

-Pour the batter in and flip it after 2 minutes. (Be careful as the oat batter is delicate)

-Serve
